OBLIGATION TO INFORM THE EMPLOYEE
The law grants individuals whose personal data are processed the right to be informed about who processes their data, for what purposes and legal reasons, and to whom their data may be transferred and for what purposes. This is addressed under the data controller's obligation to inform the individual.
According to this, the data controller is obliged to provide the following information to the relevant person during the acquisition of personal data, either personally or through an authorized representative, under the framework of Article 10 of the Law:
• The identity of the data controller and, if applicable, its representative,
• The purpose of processing personal data,
• To whom and for what purpose personal data may be transferred,
• The method of personal data collection and its legal reason,
• Other rights listed in Article 11.
Even in cases where personal data processing depends on the explicit consent of the individual or when the activity is carried out within the scope of another condition set out by the Law, the data controller still has the obligation to inform the individual. In other words, the individual must be informed whenever their personal data are processed.
